Beginner Sewing Machine
Ages 8 (only)
This class will run for 1 hr long for 8 weeks. All supplies and fabric included in the cost of the class. Student will lear:
- How to operate the sewing machine
- How to thread the sewing machine
- How to thread a bobbin
- How to stitch a straight line
- How to zigzag
- Backstitch
- Cut fabric
- Pin fabric
- Improve cutting skills
Classes will start the week of Sept 20th 2010
Monday 5:30pm-6:30pm (time change as of 8/19)
COST: $130.00 includes all supplies and fabric
Ages 9 and up
Our Beginner classes run for 1 1/2 hour sessions once a week for 8 weeks. We include all supplies and fabric in the cost of our classes.

- How to fix threading problems
- Straight stitching
- Zig Zag
- Backstitching
- Curves and Corners
- Marking Methods
- Buttons and Buttonholes
- Seam finishes
- Pin fabric for cutting and sewing
- Read a basic pattern
- Improve cutting skill
Each student will complete a notebook of samples on each technique learned.
Starts the week of Sept 20th 2010
Monday 4pm - 5:30pm
Wednesday 4pm-5:30pm
Saturday 9am-10:30am
